2010 Pocket Calendars

I cannot believe that it is already November!! Before we know it, the holidays will be in full swing. I have no idea what we are even doing yet this year, where, or with whom. lol. I do know one thing, and that is I already need to look at 2010 pocket calendars. I am already scheduling appointments for after the first of the year and I don't have a calendar yet. I have been writing them down in the back of mine so that I can transfer them over once I get one. There are so many different styles and designs now, unlike years ago you just got a free one from your local bank! Yes, it is already time to start thinking and planning the year ahead.

Halloween 2009

We had such a fun Halloween! Pop-Pop came to visit us and went Trick or Treating with the kids. They loved it! Xander and Zac dressed up like knights and Zoe was a Princess, of course! I even got into the Halloween spirit this year and dressed up with them. All of our Halloween costumes only cost me about $20 total! I picked up Zoe's dress and Zac's costume at the local Consignment sale, got Xander's accessories at the Dollar Tree and borrowed my dress from a friend. I think we look great considering what I spent.
After the kids and Hubby went to bed I stayed up watching Halloween movies. It was truly a fun night!

Car Parts Online

My best friend's Husband loves to work on cars. He is the type of guy that likes to buy older cars and fix them up himself and do all of his car maintenance himself. He was telling me about a really cool site that he found where you can get car parts online. I went to check out the site for my Husband and found that you can get Free Shipping on all orders over $50.00. They offer all kinds of parts and accessories for almost every type and make of vehicle as well. Everything that they sell is backed 100% and comes with a full Warranty. They even have a toll free number to call if you have questions. The next time we have a repair that needs to be done on our car, I'm going to tell my Husband to get it online.

Zoe's Gymnastics Meet Results

Today we had a Gymnastics Meet in Durham, NC at Bull City Gymnastics...

Gymnastics Meet Results: 8.6 on Bars (4th), 9.0 on Vault (5th), 8.050 on Floor, and 7.775 on Beam (6th)....and 6th Place All Around...also qualified for State Comp. with a 33.425 AA score!

She did a really good job and improved her scores tremendously from the last meet. I was so proud of her. I have come to realize though that I cannot take her to meets anymore! I just get tooooooo nervous. So nervous that my stomach is terribly upset the whole way there and during the meet. I was literally sick. Ugh... Good thing that John is taking her next time. LOL

Rugged Nerds Gaming Forum

I have several friends who are really into online games. I have never been a gamer, but I can see why people get so involved in these games. They are really fun and challenging! I ran across a really cool gaming forum that offers many benefits to it's users. They have game specific forums for World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, and Heroes of Newerth. Rugged Nerds also offers game reviews, guides, replays and demos as well. When your hobby is gaming, you really need to be involved in an online community that offers connection with other gamers, information about the games that you love, and a place to get the scoop on the latest and greatest games on the market. You may even meet some new friends in the process as well.

We took the kids to Wilson to Dean's Farm. They were having a Fall Festival on Saturday and it was so much fun! Hayride, petting zoo, cotton candy, face painting, pony rides, and pumpkins!

I Wish It Were Still Summer!

I was so not ready for summer to be over! I enjoyed our trips to the beach and lounging out by the pool. The kids love walking on the beach at night looking for crabs and playing in the water all day. One of my favorite things to do is to take a family bike ride while we are at the beach. I am thinking about purchasing cheap beach cruisers next year for everyone in our family. We live close to the beach and after renting beach bikes a few times, the fees really add up. We could actually save money long-term by purchasing our own bikes. We pack so much when we go to the beach that I don't even want to try to pack our bikes as well. The beach is still nice in the fall, but I love hot weather. I hope we can get a few more beach trips in before winter.

Winds Of Change

Sometimes you can actually feel change coming. At first, it feels like weird things are happening, maybe things are going wrong; slight inconveniences. Then, after a string of these events you start to wonder if this is just not your season or your year. Pretty soon you realize that all of these things that happened, happened for a reason and change was meant to happen! Right now I can totally feel the winds of change or God's hand at work making changes in my life. I'm not sure where I'll be in a year, but I know things will be different.

Harley Davidson Parts

My Husband has been dying to get a Harley for quite some time now. We really can't afford to get a new one, so we are thinking of getting a used one. If we do, we have found the perfect place to get all of the Harley Davidson Parts that we will need to fix up the bike. They have over 30,000 different motorcycle parts

and accessories to fully customize your ride. No matter what kind of bike we choose, they will have the parts for it.
They have all makes and models, Cruisers, Sport Bikes, and Goldwings. You can also get brand names for up to 60%
off of retail price. Right now they also have a promotion going on where you can enter to win $500, and if you make
a purchase you double your chances to win.

The Broken Leg

Last week my baby boy turned 4 years old! He also started Preschool. Yay! Right? Well, the day after his birthday he was out riding his new scooter that my Hubby and I got for him and he crashed and broke his leg. Poor thing! We spent the better of that in the ER and then went to the Orthopaedic Dr. the next day to get a cast.
Here he is being waited on hand and foot...he gets to eat on a tray in the Living Room and watch TV. He thinks that is pretty cool. Luckily, he has tons of new toys that he got for his birthday to keep him busy.
This past weekend "Crayola Moms" had our annual party and it was at a park. He got pulled around in the wagon by Daddy, but fortunately the park had a Carousel and a Train that he got to enjoy.
Now, two weeks after the accident he is becoming more mobile. He is scooting around on the floor and trying to get in and out of chairs. Not even a broken leg can keep this little boy down! It's been tough carrying him everywhere...even to the potty! Only 4 more weeks to go!!!!
